Title: A nearly universal Religion
Post by: prime on Jan 15, 2024, 06:04 PM
My belief it that this is a benevolent universe in which the real world is holy and any metaphysical worlds are grafted onto it and play by the same rules.

For this reason, in addition to conventional Greco-Roman-Nordic pagan and Judeo-Christian morality, I add the Lex Talionis: to do unto others as they have done unto you, effectively punishing bad behavior and rewarding the good, as in the Platonic rule "good to the good, bad to the bad."

This works with natural selection as well as airy-fairy angel fart supernatural pontification.

No religion is real unless it includes Darwinism. Otherwise, it is simply fantasy for the weak-minded and soft-hearted.

The point is that this religion includes realism. The physical and metaphysical are in parallel.

That's great, but religion in general is cope for being afraid of existence. The best religions are blood cults.
