What do we do with it?

No one has time/energy to maintain it, least of all the twenty hours a week of listening to 99.95% utter formulaic repetitive recombinant garbage from the music industry.

No one seems to want to step up, and no one who steps up is going to be able to do the job the audience expects.

So do we just close it down?

I'm willing to write for it, but I have almost no material to work with. I ran into the problem of listening to hundreds of releases, and not having a single one worthy of note, so I felt like my contributions were minimal.

It's a big problem with the job. Most of it is listening and then delivering two-line summaries of the unworthy just to find a few decent exceptions.
