Corruptians Reject Totalitarian Rule By EU

Submitted by Staff on Wed, 06/11/2008 - 19:04.

Cyberspace - 06/11/08 - In his latest editorial for The Guardian, Peter Mandelson, EU trade commissioner, argues that globalization is the political Messiah that will lead us into a better future. "Globalisation needs America. America needs globalisation." He urges us to trust the internationalist UN, the WTO, and the IMF - all run by the same global elite who today controls most of the political and economic decisions in the West, and elsewhere. The goal is simple but immense: to create a large European empire, with a central power located in Brussel, and then tie that together with America, naturally forming the Anglo-American axis that could challenge an increasingly aggressive East. Are you clapping yet? We're not.

Cyberactivists from Corrupt decided to strike the battlefield of commentary and reject the insane model Mandelson was proposing in his editorial. Together with British readers, who have seen through the EU scam and are highly critical of its operation, the activists leveled harsh critique against the pretentious oligarch. Reader "smellthecoffee" commented:

Globalisation doesn't improve your standard of living - and being in debt doesn't count. The planet doesn't have infinite resources, although you seem to think that food grows in supermarkets and money grows in banks. A small elite become puppetmasters and pull the strings, the rest of us are just forced to do whatever the puppetmaster makes us do. Wouldn't wealth be better served if we all had the chance to become a nation of small shopkeepers as opposed to a few multinationals controlling everything? How can we compete? It's protectionism, something that you say you are against

Many other readers pointed out the same thing: globalization is protectionism, but only for a small group of people, namely those who own jobs (corporate employers) and those who organize them (high-office politicians). Add oligarchs like Mandelson, powerful lobby groups, and other corrupt byproducts of global democracy, and you have one unholy totalitarian alliance, waiting to extend its power across the borders. "salparadyse" put it this way:

No, it isn't good for anyone except the corporations. It benefits corporations as the playing field is gradually remolded into something they can take maximum advantage of.

But since corporations now matter more than countries this is no surprise.

But please, Peter, do stop prattling about how it's good for us. It isn't. It's good for you and your types and the endless paybacks and directorships you will gain after you leave office.

It doesn't benefit me because jobs are now even harder to find than 10 years ago. It doesn't benefit the countries where the corporations now go to because they don't pay people properly there either. It doesn't benefit the environment as the corporations want to go the third world so they can pay people badly and ignore environmental regulations present in the West.

It benefits those like you - the slimey spineless turncoats. Only too willing to enable hugely rich people to run rampage where ever they choose and top ignore law as they see fit and who dress it up as "development" and "commercial reality". You are the worst of the worst.

It remains to be seen for how long the globalization process will continue. Like all empires, it will eventually fall, and take most good things with it (traditional cultures, economies, the environment, and the hope of billions of people worldwide). But hope is not yet gone. We can turn this around. More and more people are waking up to the reality that they're in, and they reject globalization and the EU project. With Kosovo just recently being stolen from the Serbian people and given to the hands of the Anglo-American oligarchy, people are rising up to the demands of independence. They want to be free, and that freedom - political, economic and cultural independence of all ethnic groups - is the future we strive towards. We will survive!
