Between the 20th and the 22nd of June, Corrupt will hold a meeting in the town of Gothenburg in Sweden. We will mix discussions about politics, religion, culture and art, with exploration of the city and its various activities. We will stay at a hostel close to the inner city and share rooms, depending on how many we end up being as group.

The Plan

On the 20th of June, Alex Birch and a few other people will meet up at Lund train central and travel by train directly to the city of Gothenburg. On our way we will pick up people from the following towns (in order):

Landskrona
Helsingborg
Ängelholm
Båstad
Laholm
Halmstad
Falkenberg
Varberg
Kungsbacka

That same evening we will meet up with Corruptians at the Gothenburg central train station. On the 21th, being the famous Midsummer holiday in Sweden, we will attempt to arrange a traditional "Midsummer table" at a restaurant or prepare some traditional food ourselves. There are plenty of options to visit cultural museums, old medieval castles, and possibly even spend a day at the famous amusement park Liseberg. Although we will arrange discussions, no lectures are planned; the focus will be on meeting new people and experiencing new things together.

How Much Does It Cost?

Check the current currency rates to see where the Swedish crown (SEK) currently stands. Except money for train/bus-travels (and airplane, for those who visit from abroad), you will need some cash for hostel accomodation for two days, food spending, and various activities. Corrupt will arrange the hostel rooms, where we most likely will be 3-4 people sharing one room (cheaper). Using Visa is not a bad idea, as it can be used in almost every place.

How Many Will Be There?

More than we first thought. Currently we have 12+ people interested, and growing. This is going to be a massive meeting, and hopefully a lot of fun too. You will get to meet our Editor in charge, our graphics designer, and various people educated from different ideological backgrounds. You will also be able to experience the culture and mentality of Swedes, which in itself might be a different experience. If you are able to attend this meeting, we highly suggest you sign up today!
